Historic “Kombi” casement window, outward opening

Bloomcabin 1 fixed light without glazing bars, 1 sash with 2 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar. This historic, side-hung combination window opens outwards and comprises 1 plain fixed light alongside 1 sash with 2 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar. The combination of open fixed glazing and a finely divided sash creates a versatile, classic window appearance.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

1. Horizontal emphasis

The fixed light without glazing bars presents a calm, open glass area. Two horizontal and one vertical glazing bar divide the sash into a detailed, balanced grid.

2. Light and grid

The fixed section forms the non-opening part of the combination, while the side-hung sash opens outwards. Its glazing bars create a deliberate contrast with the clear fixed light.

3. High energy efficiency

This window solution supports a comfortable indoor atmosphere and an energy-efficient building envelope design.

This historic, side-hung combination window suits designs that bring together a fixed light without glazing bars, an outward-opening sash and a strongly horizontal division. The contrast remains clear and well balanced. The fixed light has no glazing bars at all. Two horizontal glazing bars intentionally emphasise the opening sash, while one vertical glazing bar completes its division. The open glass area offers a calm visual counterpoint. Its stepped grid supports a classically inspired appearance.
