Historic “Kombi” casement window, outward opening

Bloomcabin 1 fixed pane without glazing bars, 1 sash with 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar. This historic side-hung combination window opens outwards, combining 1 uninterrupted fixed pane with 1 sash featuring 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar. Together, the open glazed area and divided sash create a balanced, distinctive window design.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

1. Classically divided sash

The fixed pane has no glazing bars, preserving an open view through the glass. In the sash, 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar meet to form a clearly structured, balanced division.

2. Function with character

The fixed section remains stationary, while the side-hung sash opens outwards. The glazing bars are deliberately focused on the functional, opening part of the window.

3. Energy-efficient design

This window supports a comfortable interior and an energy-efficient building envelope.

This historic side-hung combination window suits façades seeking to pair a calm fixed pane with an outward-opening sash and clear horizontal and vertical detailing. The fixed pane remains completely free of glazing bars. The divided sash provides a defined design feature, while the horizontal and vertical lines work together in balance. The uninterrupted glazed area offers a quiet counterpoint. The historic character stays clear, refined and pleasantly understated.
