Bloomcabin No Glazing Bars. This fixed window for triangular and angled openings puts its distinctive geometry in clear view. It does not open, allowing the shape itself to take centre stage.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

  1. Pure form

Without glazing bars, the glass remains fully visible and presents the triangular or angled window shape without interruption. The pared-back design highlights lines, angles and the distinctive outline of the fixed construction.

  2. Unbroken glazing

The generous, undivided pane has a calm, contemporary appearance. It lets the opening shape speak for itself, creating a clear relationship between the architectural frame and visible glazing without extra divisions.

  3. High energy efficiency

The fixed glazing supports a continuous building envelope. With a carefully selected configuration, it can contribute to comfort and high energy efficiency.

This fixed triangular or angled window suits distinctive roof, gable and façade forms. Selectable materials and finishes allow it to complement an individual architectural and colour scheme. With no glazing bars, balanced proportions make it easier to coordinate the design with the architecture and desired façade effect. Clean lines remain the focus.

A fixed triangular or angled window lets you design an opening whose lines depart from a conventional rectangular window. Requested to measure, it combines clear non-opening glazing with specified material and design options. This allows the window composition to be matched carefully to the intended shape, architectural lines and preferred colour effect.

As this window does not open, the focus is not on daily sash operation but on the calm arrangement of the glazed area. Choose an uninterrupted view or one of the stated horizontal, vertical or glazing-dividing muntin patterns. Pine and oak options, including aluminium-clad versions, offer further ways to coordinate the appearance. The following sections explain operation, construction, glazing, available designs and the details that help with a specific enquiry.

01

Fixed glazing: function and everyday use

This triangular and angled window has fixed glazing. It has no opening sash or opening function, so the glazed area remains a closed part of the window composition. In daily use, there is no handle to operate, no sash to swing and no opening position to allow for. This can suit a distinctive shape planned as a quiet glazed feature where ventilation is not needed.

The lack of an opening function should be considered from the outset when planning the room. If ventilation is needed on the same wall or in the same room, another window or door designed for that purpose may need to provide it. The fixed triangular or angled window itself must not be planned as an operable ventilation opening. Its role is fixed glazing and the design of the particular opening shape.

With fixed glazing, also consider future access to the glass and frame surfaces. How easily the inside and outside can be reached depends on the particular installation situation. Where the window is intended for a high or otherwise difficult-to-reach location, include future care of accessible surfaces in the planning stage.

The selected muntin pattern does not alter how the window works. Whether you choose a continuous glazed view, horizontal or vertical divisions, or glazing-dividing muntins, the whole window remains fixed. You can therefore choose the visual design for the contour and desired effect without allowing for sash movement.

02

Construction, materials and technical dimensions

Four frame material options are available: pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak, and oak with aluminium cladding. Select one complete option when configuring the window, then add the preferred colour. Where aluminium cladding is required, state it together with the selected timber species.

The outer frame component measures 105 × 57 mm. For an aluminium-clad version, the outer frame component measures 115 × 57 mm. These figures expressly describe the named component. They do not generally state the depth, width or height of the complete made-to-measure window and must not be used as the overall size of the intended opening. The actual window shape and its dimensions are recorded separately for each project.

The mounting holes have a diameter of 14 mm. This component detail must be distinguished from the overall dimensions of the made-to-measure window and those of the intended opening. For the glazed area, choose double- or triple-glazed insulating glass. Record the required glazing option together with material, colour and muntin design in your configuration.

The triangular and angled window is CE marked and offered with a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee, subject to its terms. In your documents, distinguish the dimensions of the individual window contour from technical component dimensions: the outer frame measures 105 × 57 mm, or 115 × 57 mm with aluminium cladding. Dimensions for the special shape are instead recorded from its specific contour and clearly identified lines.

03

Glazing and glazed-area construction

This fixed window uses insulated glazing in the versions listed in the technical overview. It has a heat-reflective coating, a warm-edge spacer identified as CHR, and argon filling. These features belong together as part of the stated glazing specification.

Because the window does not open, the glazing forms a permanently fixed surface within the frame. Its geometric effect comes from the interaction of the external shape, glazed area and any selected muntins. Without divisions, the shape can read as one continuous surface. A muntin design adds horizontal, vertical or combined order. Glazing-dividing muntins structure the composition differently from muntins not described as glazing dividing, so the full design name is important when selecting.

The glazing seals are black rubber. They are a separate part of the glazing construction and should not be confused with the selectable frame colour. For visual coordination, consider frame material, colour, glazed area and muntin pattern separately. The seal colour alone describes neither the whole frame appearance nor a continuous visible border.

State in your enquiry whether you require double- or triple-glazed insulating glass. Both options belong to this fixed window type and do not change its lack of an opening function. Assigning the glazing clearly to the required contour, material option, colour and muntin design creates a complete, easy-to-follow configuration.

04

Available design patterns

Several named patterns are available for the glazed view. “Without muntins” describes the version without the dividing elements used in the other designs. This option draws attention to the triangular or angled contour and a largely continuous glazed surface. It is a specific design name and should be stated exactly in the enquiry if no muntin division is required.

Patterns with a simple orientation include “With 1 horizontal muntin” and “With 1 vertical muntin”. There is also “With 1 horizontal muntin in the lower area”, whose name already identifies its particular position in the composition. “With 1 horizontal and 1 vertical muntin” is listed as a combined division. These names describe the pattern only; they do not indicate an opening function, as the window remains fixed-glazed with every design.

There are also expressly glazing-dividing designs. These include “With 1 horizontal glazing-dividing muntin” and “With 1 vertical glazing-dividing muntin”. More strongly divided patterns are named “With 2 horizontal glazing-dividing muntins” and “With 2 vertical glazing-dividing muntins”. The term “glazing-dividing” is essential for an unambiguous choice. A shortened description such as “horizontal muntin” could leave unclear which available design is intended.

The most suitable design depends on the contour and desired visual order. A horizontal muntin can divide a sloping shape differently from a vertical arrangement, while a combined design sets other accents. Compare the defined patterns against the intended window shape and consider neighbouring windows, doors or façade lines.

Use the complete name of the selected design pattern in your enquiry. This is particularly important for distinguishing horizontal from vertical arrangements and glazing-dividing from other muntin styles. A clearly oriented sketch can supplement the choice and show how you understand top, bottom, inside and outside.

05

Assessing the intended opening correctly

A made-to-measure triangular or angled window begins with an opening described clearly. Unlike a simple rectangular contour, sloping lines, points, sides and reference points can be interpreted in different ways. Record which view your drawing shows and how each edge relates to the others. A labelled sketch can make the shape and orientation understandable without guessing a specific geometry from the product name alone.

Also check whether your information describes the intended window size or only dimensions of the surrounding area. Frame, opening and other project dimensions should not be mixed in communication. When using existing documents, label every measurement according to its actual meaning. This helps avoid reading a sloping edge as a horizontal line or assigning an overall length to a single section.

When assessing the opening, it is also important to identify which side is inside, outside, top and bottom. This is especially relevant where the shape could appear mirrored. A photo can provide further orientation but does not replace a clear dimensional drawing. If adjoining components define the shape visually or spatially, they can be marked on a sketch without attributing unconfirmed technical properties to them.

Installation clearances and fitting tolerances depend on the specific building situation and should not be derived from outer-frame dimensions. The 105 × 57 mm value, or 115 × 57 mm for aluminium cladding, describes the outer frame only. Clarify which dimensions are opening, window or component dimensions for your project, and label them accordingly in the documentation.

For a triangular or angled shape, describe more than the general name: show the actual contour. Clearly marked edges, corners, slopes and dimensional references make the custom order easier to specify. Then add the material option, preferred colour, glazing option and muntin design as separate selections so the shape and equipment remain clearly distinct.

06

Colour, material and visual composition

The effect of a triangular or angled window is shaped by the interplay of contour, frame material, colour, glazed area and muntin pattern. The available colour selection lets you coordinate the design with your project. Name the preferred shade as clearly as possible and, if useful, explain which existing windows, doors, façade elements or interior features it should reference.

Pine and oak are the available timber species. Both are also offered with aluminium cladding. Cladding is part of the correspondingly named material option, not simply a colour name. When choosing, consider the effect of the material and selected shade indoors and on the façade, as well as their relationship with adjoining components.

The muntin pattern can follow the direction of the window shape, create a deliberate contrast, or leave the glazed view without further divisions. Horizontal, vertical and combined patterns each create a different graphic order. For versions expressly described as glazing-dividing, that division belongs to the selected design, which is why the full variant name matters in the enquiry.

The black rubber glazing seals should not be understood as an independent frame-colour choice. The selectable colour finish determines colour coordination, while the seal is treated as a separate glazing component. Record frame colour, material option and required muntin pattern as individual selections.

If the new window is intended to match existing windows, doors or façade elements, photos and clear colour details can serve as visual references. State which detail is decisive, such as frame colour, timber species or muntin direction. This makes it possible to compare material, colour and design purposefully and retain them as separate selections.

07

Comparing fixed glazing and related opening types

A fixed triangular or angled window is intended as a permanently closed glazed surface. If your project needs an opening function elsewhere, the product range also includes top-hung awning windows, single- and double-casement windows, and single patio doors. These variants open outwards and can complement the fixed special shape within a wider window or door scheme.

Historic-style versions are also available for casement windows and single patio doors. These are offered in pine or oak. The corresponding standard versions of related windows and doors can instead also be selected in pine or oak with aluminium cladding. Consider these material differences where several elements are to be coordinated in one view.

The “Kombi” casement window combines a fixed-glazed field with an outward-opening sash, offering another way to arrange fixed and operable areas within one product. Like the other related windows, it is available with double- or triple-pane insulated glass, in pine, oak, or the corresponding aluminium-clad versions. Select function, material, colour and design separately for every element.

When enquiring about several windows or doors for the same project, list each element as its own item. This keeps clear where a fixed special shape is planned, where a window should open outwards, and whether a single- or double-casement version is required. The following related products provide a direct starting point for comparison:

08

Prepare your enquiry in a few clear steps

Start with a short description of your project and state the full product name: “Fixed triangular and angled window”. For guidance, show the required contour on a clearly oriented sketch. Identify which view is shown and label the lines relevant to the shape clearly. An additional photograph can further illustrate the installation situation.

Next, choose the material option. State whether you require pine, oak, or one of the corresponding aluminium-clad versions. Note your colour preference separately so material and colour are not confused. If the shade should connect with existing windows, doors or façade elements, name these as design references.

In the next step, state the required glazing from the available options. Then use the complete name of the muntin design from the overview. Exact wording is especially important for glazing-dividing muntins. A sketch of the pattern can clarify your selection, but should not replace the stated design name with an invented description.

Finally, summarise the information in a clear order: product name, contour, dimensional drawing, orientation, material option, colour, glazing and design. List several windows as separate items so different shapes or design preferences do not become mixed. If other window or door types belong to the project, list them separately too, using their complete product names.

Before sending, check that your documents can be read consistently without contradictions. Take particular care that every edge uses the same label and that dimensions, colour preference, muntin pattern and material are assigned to the correct window. A well-structured enquiry gives us a clear basis for discussing the required custom manufacture and any remaining selections with you.
