Bloomcabin No Glazing Bars. This fixed window combines a generous, uninterrupted glass view with the practical simplicity of a window that does not open. It suits architecture that highlights daylight and favours a calm, pared-back appearance.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

  1. Clear, bar-free view

Without glazing bars, the glass area looks open and expansive. The restrained design puts daylight, views and architectural lines firmly in focus.

  2. Fixed window design

As a fixed window, this model cannot be opened. It provides a permanent source of light and supports clear, practical window planning.

  3. Energy-efficient design

Its fixed construction supports energy-efficient building design and can contribute to a comfortable feel indoors and consistent living comfort.

This non-opening fixed window suits spaces centred on light, views and a calm facade. It complements contemporary architecture and restrained renovation schemes, and fits varied window concepts. The deliberately simple design works well in bright interiors, while its uninterrupted surface provides a clear accent and maintains a calm appearance. Used within a group of windows, it creates a cohesive result.

Configuration

Made to measure with colour choice

Our fixed glazed window is intended for projects that require a permanently closed glazed surface without an opening function. The focus is therefore on dimensional and visual integration into the intended opening, together with coordination with adjacent building elements. You specify the dimensions for your project and choose the material finish, colour, glazing and design. This gives every element a clearly defined role without attributing an operating or ventilation function to the fixed glazing.

Pine and oak are available, as are both timber species with aluminium cladding. The named designs include versions without glazing bars, individual horizontal or vertical lines, explicitly glass-dividing variants and a combined arrangement. We guide you through function, technical details, design and preparing your enquiry. This lets you make decisions in a logical order and state the required version clearly.

01

Function and everyday use

This product is a fixed glazed window and cannot be opened. It can therefore neither be swung, tilted nor turned. In everyday use, the glazing remains closed and does not create an operable opening. Decide early whether the element is intended solely as fixed glazing. If your project needs regular ventilation or an operable passage at this position, that function must be assigned to a suitable opening window or door.

In a design with several window elements, fixed glazing can fulfil its own role while a separately selected product type provides the required opening function. List these functions separately on your drawing: mark fixed glazed elements as permanently closed and opening elements with their respective product titles. This makes allocation easier when different windows are planned within one elevation. Visual proximity does not mean that the elements are structurally identical or have the same operation.

Plan future access to the glass, frame and seal surfaces according to the actual installation situation. Consider both sides of the closed element and its position within the opening. Before choosing, also check whether permanently closed glazing suits your intended use. Make this functional decision before selecting material, colour and glazing-bar design, because design cannot replace a required opening function. Record any required opening elements separately from the fixed glazing in your plans.

02

Construction, component dimensions and technical details

The dimensional and numerical product specifications are grouped here. The outer frame measures 105 × 57 mm. With aluminium cladding, the outer frame measures 115 × 57 mm. These details describe the respective outer frame as a component. They are not the width and height of the complete window or the dimensions of the structural opening. Installation holes are stated as 14 mm. For your planning, product size, opening size, connection and outer-frame profile should therefore be recorded as separate details.

2-pane or 3-pane insulating glazing is available. Both are described with a heat-reflective coating, a warm-edge spacer in CHR finish and argon fill. The glass seals are made of black rubber. The window is CE marked and has a 5-year warranty. These details identify the offered product construction; the existing wall, connections and further building conditions must also be assessed for the individual project. State the selected glazing clearly in your enquiry so the required version can be assigned correctly.

Available materials are pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding. “With aluminium cladding” describes a version of the respective timber material, not a window made entirely from aluminium. Made-to-measure manufacture is one of the available purchasing choices, while the stated profile and hole dimensions remain component details. Separate the required overall size from the construction details in your enquiry. This makes clear which dimension is determined by your project and which dimensions describe individual window components.

03

Selecting the right glazing

When configuring the window, choose one of the available insulating glazing options clearly and list it as a separate selection. A general description such as “insulating glass” does not distinguish the variants. Use the full name of the required version. If several elements belong to your project, note the glazing choice separately for each element. This keeps it clear which choice applies to which window, even in a mixed arrangement.

Assess the glazing choice separately from the material, colour and glazing-bar design. Glazing describes the glass construction, while the other details define different parts of the configuration. Do not automatically transfer a choice from a neighbouring window to this fixed glazing; name it expressly. When comparing several quotations, ensure that the same selected glazing type is being compared in each case. This avoids comparing different configurations simply because abbreviated descriptions have been used.

The glass seals are made from black rubber. This detail describes only the material and colour of the seals; it does not specify a continuously visible black border around the entire window. Keep the seal specification separate from the desired window colour. For the overall design, material finish, colour selection and glazing-bar design are each separate decisions. If the appearance of the element matters when coordinating with neighbouring windows or doors, list these design preferences separately rather than deriving them from the seal colour.

04

Named designs with and without glazing bars

For a version without dividing lines, choose “Without glazing bars”. For a single direction, “With 1 horizontal glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glazing bar” are available. There is also “With 1 horizontal glazing bar in the lower section”. Use these exact names, as the final design expressly includes a particular position in its title. Do not add your own position or proportion details to the design names. If you are combining several windows, assign every element its complete design name so neighbouring glazing-bar patterns are not accidentally grouped together.

The explicitly glass-dividing designs include “With 1 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glass-dividing glazing bar”. More strongly divided options are named “With 2 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bars” and “With 2 vertical glass-dividing glazing bars”. The term “glass-dividing” is an essential part of the relevant design name. If this type of division is part of your choice, include the full designation in your enquiry. A shortened description such as “with two glazing bars” identifies neither the direction nor the expressly named type of division.

A combined division is available as “With 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar”. Choose this version if both directions are to form part of the named glazing-bar pattern. The best approach is to decide in two steps: first establish whether you want a design without glazing bars, in one direction or in both directions. Then check whether the title should expressly be glass-dividing. The available design names are fixed selection options and not a basis for freely combined variants or self-defined intersections.

05

Recording dimensions and installation situation clearly

Start with the actual structural opening rather than an estimated window size. Measure the situation at several suitable points and state what each value refers to. In particular, distinguish between the opening size and the required product size. As the window can be made to measure, a clear dimensional basis is essential for your enquiry. Do not use the outer-frame details from the technical specifications as a finished external size. Use the same terms in your drawing, dimension list and accompanying text so different reference points are not grouped under a general term such as “window size”.

Also record where the fixed glazed element is intended within your project. If several windows or doors form one elevation, assign clear identifiers and match every dimension to the correct element. Note any required relationships with adjacent components too, for example which top or side lines should align in the design. These details describe your visual intention and should be listed separately from product dimensions. A simple sketch clearly marked top, bottom, left and right helps us understand position and orientation without ambiguous wording.

Include the planned connection and existing construction when assessing the opening. Check whether the recorded dimensions suit the planned window position, and have the installation situation assessed for the specific project. Where several elements work together, record each product separately first, then transfer the clearly labelled dimensions to an overall elevation. This keeps opening size, product size and visual reference lines distinct. Before enquiring, also check that all dimensions use the same orientation and that amendments in a sketch are reflected in the corresponding dimension list.

06

Material, colour and visual coordination

For the material finish, choose pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding. First decide between pine and oak, then whether the chosen timber species should have aluminium cladding. This order prevents the cladding from being stated accidentally as an independent solid material. If further windows or doors are part of the project, list the full material finish for every element. Matching colour preferences do not replace clearly naming the timber species and cladding.

Colour choice is a separate purchasing decision and should be considered alongside the material finish and glazing-bar design, but stated separately. A version without glazing bars and a variant with horizontal, vertical or combined lines already differ through their respective design names. Therefore, do not simply choose a colour for the overall elevation; also assign the required glazing-bar pattern clearly. If you are adding to an existing window group, note which features are to be coordinated. Do not rely only on a reference image; state the selected colour and material finish expressly in the enquiry.

For several elements, a simple schedule helps, with every position identified by product title, material finish, colour and glazing-bar design. Plan the fixed glazing without assuming an opening direction. Instead, the selected design features and the reference lines you define determine its place within a shared elevation. Check that recurring glazing-bar patterns are genuinely described using the same complete design name. If individual elements are intentionally to differ, mark these variations directly at the relevant position so they are not read as accidental inconsistency.

07

Related fixed glazed and opening products

If you are looking for another fixed glazed shape group for your project, consider the “Semi-circular fixed glazed window” and the “Triangular and sloping fixed glazed window” as independent alternatives. Both are fixed glazed and non-opening according to their product titles. Nevertheless, compare them as separate products and use the exact title for each in your enquiry. Belonging to the fixed glazing range does not mean that every other feature automatically matches this window.

For projects requiring an opening function, separately named window types are available for guidance, including outward-opening pivot, top-hung and casement windows. Choose between these products according to the function required and treat each as its own configuration. Fixed glazing can be planned alongside an opening window within one project, but it does not thereby acquire an operating function. In such a combination, record every element with its full product title, position and its own selection details.

Single-leaf outward-opening patio doors and products in a historic style are also listed as related product types. They may be suitable if a door function or an expressly named style variant is required instead of an exclusively fixed glazed surface. For an enquiry covering several product types, give each element its own title, position and required configuration. This keeps windows and doors functionally clear even within one elevation. The related products are listed here for further guidance:

Semi-circular fixed glazed window, Triangular and sloping fixed glazed window, Outward-opening pivot window, Outward-opening top-hung window, Single-leaf outward-opening casement window, Single-leaf historic-style outward-opening casement window, Single-leaf outward-opening patio door, Single-leaf historic-style outward-opening patio door.

08

Preparing your enquiry completely and clearly

Begin with a brief description of your project and identify the required element clearly as a “fixed glazed window”. Add a labelled sketch where useful, showing the element’s position and orientation. Enter the required dimension and state directly what it refers to. Use a consistent identifier for the same element in the sketch, dimension list and text. If several windows or doors are planned, list each product separately first, then bring the individual positions together in an overall elevation.

Then choose pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding and add the required colour. Next, state the selected insulating glazing as a separate item. For the glazing-bar pattern, use the complete design name, particularly where the title expressly includes “glass-dividing”. Check every position individually if there are several elements rather than silently applying one shared choice to all windows. This makes clear which combination of material, cladding, colour, glazing and design is intended for each fixed glazed window.

Finally, check your selection in a set order: Is the product title correct? Are position, orientation and dimensional reference clear? Is the complete material finish stated? Are colour, glazing and glazing-bar design each clearly assigned? Are further windows or doors listed as independent products? Ensure that the sketch and text use the same element identifiers. Then send us your organised enquiry. We can assign your selection specifically to the fixed glazed window and clarify with you whether the configuration is completely described.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about fixed glazed windows

Can the window be ordered made to measure?

Yes. Dimensions can be set to suit the intended project. In your enquiry, clearly state what each measurement refers to and describe the installation situation. Outer-frame dimensions are component dimensions and should not be equated with the size of the intended opening.

Which glazing options are available?

You can choose between 2-pane and 3-pane insulating glazing. Both versions have a heat-reflective coating, a warm-edge spacer in CHR finish and argon fill. State the required glazing separately for every window element.

Which material finishes are available?

Available options are pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak and oak with aluminium cladding. State the complete version in your enquiry so the timber species and cladding can be assigned clearly.

Can I choose the window colour?

Yes. The colour can be selected during configuration. State your preferred colour together with the complete material finish. The black rubber seals are independent of this and do not replace a separate colour choice for the window.

Are all available glazing bars glass-dividing?

No. The names expressly distinguish between glazing bars and glass-dividing glazing bars. If a glass-dividing design is required, use the complete name of the corresponding version in your enquiry.

Is the window CE marked?

Yes. The window is CE marked. For your project, however, assess the opening, planned connections and building requirements for the specific situation.

Can the fixed glazing be used for ventilation or as an exit?

No. Fixed glazing cannot be opened for ventilation or used as an operable exit.

How do I choose a suitable glazing-bar pattern?

The available patterns range from a version without glazing bars to horizontal, vertical and combined glazing-bar designs. First decide whether you want no division, emphasis in one direction or several dividing lines. Then check whether the selected designation expressly includes “glass-dividing”.
