Bloomcabin Without glazing bars. This non-opening fixed window combines a broad, uninterrupted glass view with the functional simplicity of fixed glazing. It suits architecture that emphasises daylight and a calm, pared-back aesthetic.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

  1. Clear, bar-free view

Without glazing bars, the glass appears clear and expansive. The pared-back composition centres daylight, outlook and the lines of the architecture.

  2. Fixed glazing

This fixed-glazed model cannot be opened. It creates a permanent light opening and supports clear, function-led window planning.

  3. High energy efficiency

Fixed construction supports energy-efficient building design and can contribute to an inviting interior and consistent living comfort.

This non-opening fixed window works where daylight, outlook and a quiet facade are priorities. It complements contemporary architecture and restrained renovations, and can be incorporated into varied window schemes. Its design is intentionally minimal and well suited to bright interiors. The uninterrupted glass keeps the elevation calm while creating a crisp visual accent. Used within a group of windows, the same simple form maintains a coherent overall composition.

Configuration

Made to measure with colour choice

This fixed-glazed window is intended for projects requiring a permanently closed glass area rather than an opening. Its dimensions and visual integration within the proposed aperture, alongside adjacent building elements, are therefore central. Set the dimensions for your project, then select the material, colour, glazing and design. Each unit has a clearly defined role, without attributing ventilation or operating functions to the fixed glazing.

Choose pine or oak, each available with aluminium cladding. The named designs include no glazing bars, single horizontal or vertical lines, expressly glass-dividing options and a combined arrangement. We guide you through operation, key specifications, design and enquiry preparation, so choices can be made in a practical order and the required version stated unambiguously.

01

Function and everyday use

This is a fixed-glazed window and it does not open. It cannot swing, tilt or turn. In everyday use, the glazing stays closed and does not provide an operable opening. Establish early whether the position is intended solely for fixed glazing. If your project needs regular ventilation or an accessible opening here, allocate that requirement to an opening window or door designed for that purpose.

In a design containing several window elements, fixed glazing can serve its own purpose while a separately selected product type provides the required opening action. List these functions separately on your sketch: mark fixed-glazed units as permanently closed and identify opening units by their product title. This makes allocation easier where different windows are planned in one elevation. Visual proximity does not mean the elements share the same construction or operation.

Allow for future access to the glass, frame and gasket surfaces according to the actual installation situation. Consider both sides of the closed element and its position within the opening. Before selecting it, also check that permanent glazing suits the intended use. Make this functional decision before choosing material, colour or glazing bars, since design cannot replace a needed opening function. Record any required opening elements separately from the fixed glazing.

02

Construction, component dimensions and key specifications

Dimensions and numerical product specifications are collected here. The outer frame measures 105 × 57 mm. With aluminium cladding, the outer frame measures 115 × 57 mm. These figures describe the relevant frame component; they are not the width and height of the complete window or the building opening. Installation holes are specified as 14 mm. For planning, record the product size, opening size, junction detail and outer-frame profile as separate information.

Choose either double- or triple-pane insulating glazing. Both are described with heat-reflective coating, a CHR warm-edge spacer and argon fill. The glass gaskets are black rubber. The window carries CE marking and has a 5-year commercial warranty. Where Australian Consumer Law applies to a consumer transaction, this commercial warranty operates alongside, and does not exclude, those statutory rights. These details identify the offered product construction; the existing wall, junctions and other site conditions must also be assessed for the particular project. State the selected glazing clearly in your enquiry so the required version can be identified.

Material choices are pine, aluminium-clad pine, oak and aluminium-clad oak. “With aluminium cladding” describes a version of the relevant timber material, not a window made entirely from aluminium. Made-to-measure production is an available ordering choice, whereas the stated profile and drilling dimensions remain component data. In your enquiry, distinguish the required overall size from the construction specifications, making clear which dimension is project-defined and which describes an individual window component.

Fixed-glazed window with glazing-bar design

03

Selecting suitable glazing

When configuring the window, choose one of the offered insulating-glass options clearly and list it as a separate selection. A general description such as “insulating glass” does not distinguish the versions, so use the full name of the required option. Where your project includes several elements, note the glazing choice for every unit individually. This keeps the selection traceable even in a mixed arrangement.

Assess the glazing separately from the material, colour and glazing-bar design. Glazing defines the glass construction, while the other entries establish different parts of the configuration. Do not automatically carry a choice from a neighbouring window across to this fixed-glazed unit; state it explicitly. When comparing quotations, ensure the same selected glazing type is being compared, avoiding comparisons between differing configurations based only on shortened descriptions.

The glass gaskets are black rubber. This states only their material and colour; it does not specify a continuously visible black border around the entire window. Keep the gasket specification separate from the desired window colour. Material version, colour selection and glazing-bar design are each independent design decisions. If the appearance matters when coordinating adjacent windows or doors, list those visual requirements separately rather than inferring them from the gasket colour.

04

Named designs with and without glazing bars

For a version without dividing lines, choose “Without glazing bars”. Single-direction options are “With 1 horizontal glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glazing bar”. “With 1 horizontal glazing bar in the lower section” is also available. Use these names exactly, because the last design expressly identifies a particular position. Do not add your own position or proportion details to the design names. For several windows, assign each unit its complete design name so neighbouring bar patterns are not accidentally combined.

The expressly glass-dividing designs are “With 1 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glass-dividing glazing bar”. More structured choices are named “With 2 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bars” and “With 2 vertical glass-dividing glazing bars”. “Glass-dividing” is an essential part of each design name. If this division is required, include the complete wording in your enquiry. A shortened description such as “with two glazing bars” does not clearly identify either the direction or the expressly named division type.

A combined layout is offered as “With 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar”. Choose it where both directions are to form the named glazing-bar pattern. A useful sequence is first to decide whether you want no bars, one direction or both directions, then check whether the title must expressly say glass-dividing. The available design names are fixed choices, not a basis for freely combined variants or self-defined intersection points.

05

Recording dimensions and installation conditions clearly

Start with the actual building opening, rather than an estimated window size. Take measurements at several appropriate points and note what each figure refers to. In particular, distinguish the opening size from the required product size. Because the window can be made to measure, an unambiguous measurement basis is essential to the enquiry. Do not treat the outer-frame figures in the technical specifications as a finished external size. Use the same terms in the sketch, dimension schedule and accompanying text, so different reference points are not grouped under a vague term such as “window size”.

Record the intended location of the fixed-glazed element within the project as well. If windows and doors create one elevation, assign a distinct identifier to each item and link every measurement to its correct element. Include intended relationships to adjacent components, for example top or side lines that should align. Such notes express the design intention and belong separately from product dimensions. A straightforward sketch labelled top, bottom, left and right lets us follow location and orientation without uncertain wording.

Include the proposed junction and existing construction when assessing the opening. Check that the recorded dimensions suit the planned window position, and have the installation conditions assessed for the project. Where several elements work together, record each product separately before transferring the clearly identified dimensions to an overall elevation. This keeps opening size, product size and visual alignment lines distinct. Before enquiring, confirm that every dimension uses the same orientation and that sketch changes also appear in the matching dimension schedule.

06

Material, colour and visual coordination

For the material version, select pine, aluminium-clad pine, oak or aluminium-clad oak. First decide between pine and oak, then whether the chosen timber is to have aluminium cladding. This sequence avoids accidentally describing cladding as an independent solid material. If your project includes further windows or doors, give the complete material version for each element. Matching colour preferences do not replace a clear statement of timber species and cladding.

Colour is a separate ordering choice. Consider it alongside the material version and glazing-bar design, but name it independently. A bar-free version and one with horizontal, vertical or combined lines already differ through their design titles. Rather than selecting colour for the overall elevation alone, identify the required glazing-bar design as well. When adding to an existing window group, note which features are intended to align. Do not rely only on a reference image: state the selected colour and material version expressly in the enquiry.

With multiple elements, a simple overview helps when every position carries its product title, material version, colour and glazing-bar design. Treat the fixed glazing without assuming an opening direction. In a shared elevation, its selected design features and your stated alignment lines define its place instead. Check that recurring glazing-bar patterns genuinely use the same full design name. Where individual elements are deliberately different, mark those variations at the relevant position so they are not read as unintended inconsistency.

07

Related fixed-glazed and opening products

If you need another fixed-glazed shape for your project, consider the “Half-round Fixed-glazed Window” and the “Triangular and Sloping Fixed-glazed Window” as separate alternatives. Both are fixed glazed and non-opening according to their product titles. Compare them as individual products nevertheless, and use the precise title for each in your enquiry. Being part of the fixed-glazing range does not mean all further features automatically match this window.

Where an opening function is required, separately named window types are available for orientation, including outward-opening swing, top-hung and casement windows. Select between these products according to the needed function and treat each as its own configuration. Fixed glazing can sit beside an opening window in one project, but does not thereby gain an operating function. For such a combination, list each element with its complete product title, position and individual selections.

Outward-opening single-leaf patio doors and products in a heritage style are also listed as related types. They may suit a project requiring a door function rather than an exclusively fixed-glazed area, or an expressly named style variation. In an enquiry covering several product types, give each element its own title, position and required configuration. This keeps windows and doors functionally distinct within a shared elevation. 08

Preparing a complete, clear enquiry

Start with a short description of the project and identify the required element clearly as a “Fixed-glazed Window”. Add a labelled sketch where useful, showing the unit’s position and orientation. Enter the required dimension and state directly what it refers to. Use one consistent identifier for the same element in the sketch, dimension schedule and text. If several windows or doors are planned, list every product separately first, then bring the positions together in an overall elevation.

Next, select pine, aluminium-clad pine, oak or aluminium-clad oak and add the required colour. Then state the chosen insulating glazing as a separate item. For the glazing-bar pattern, use the full design name, especially where it expressly includes “glass-dividing”. Check each position individually when there are several elements instead of silently applying one shared selection to every window. This makes the material, cladding, colour, glazing and design combination traceable for each fixed-glazed unit.

Before sending your enquiry, use a final checklist. Confirm the product title, then make the position, orientation and basis of each dimension unambiguous. Record the complete material version, assigning colour, glazing and glazing-bar design to the correct element. List every other window or door separately, and ensure the sketch and written details use matching identifiers. When everything agrees, send the organised information so we can identify the fixed-glazed window and discuss whether its configuration is fully described.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about fixed-glazed windows

Can the window be ordered made to measure?

Yes. Dimensions can be specified to suit the planned project. In your enquiry, state clearly what every measurement refers to and describe the installation situation. Outer-frame dimensions are component dimensions and must not be equated with the size of the proposed opening.

Which glazing options are available?

Choose between double- and triple-pane insulating glazing. Both versions have heat-reflective coating, a CHR warm-edge spacer and argon fill. State the required glazing separately for every window element.

Which material versions can I choose?

Available choices are pine, aluminium-clad pine, oak and aluminium-clad oak. Give the full version in your enquiry so the timber species and cladding can be identified clearly.

Can I choose the window colour?

Yes. Colour can be selected during configuration. Give your preferred colour together with the complete material version. The black rubber gaskets are independent of this and do not replace a separate window-colour choice.

Are all offered glazing bars glass-dividing?

No. The names expressly distinguish glazing bars from glass-dividing glazing bars. If you require a glass-dividing design, use the full name of the relevant version in your enquiry.

Does the window carry CE marking?

Yes. The window carries CE marking. Your project should nevertheless assess the opening, planned junctions and building requirements specifically.

Can fixed glazing be used for ventilation or as an exit?

No. It stays shut, so it provides neither ventilation nor an operable exit.

How do I choose a suitable glazing-bar pattern?

The available patterns range from no glazing bars to horizontal, vertical and combined arrangements. First decide whether you want no division, emphasis in one direction or several dividing lines. Then check whether the selected title expressly includes “glass-dividing”.
