Bloomcabin 1 sash without decorative bars. This inward-opening window uses one sash without decorative bars for a distinctly uncluttered look. Its uninterrupted glazing puts daylight and the view first, while the pared-back design creates a calm, contemporary window appearance.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

  1. Uncluttered appearance

A single sash without decorative bars leaves the glazing uninterrupted, giving the window a particularly clean look. The restrained composition conveys calm, openness and understated contemporary lines.

  2. Straightforward operation

Opening inwards, the single sash feels familiar to operate and offers a straightforward solution. Its simple arrangement keeps the interior view clean, orderly, open and visually light.

  3. High energy efficiency

This window supports comfortable living and high energy efficiency.

Choose this window where a room or façade calls for one inward-opening sash and clear glazing. Its pared-back form sits naturally within crisp, modern architecture. The balanced proportions of the 1-sash design help coordinate the window with the building and the intended façade effect. Before configuration, choose the version that best suits the specific project and your design objective.

This made-to-measure, single-sash window combines an uncluttered design with inward opening and an additional tilt position. It suits projects where the opening method, frame material and glazing need to match a particular window opening. Made to order, the selected version can be tailored to your project dimensions.

Choose pine or oak, with either timber also available in an aluminium-clad version. You can also select double or triple insulating glass, decorative glazing-bar patterns, colours and handles. This allows the window to sit functionally and visually within a coordinated window scheme.

This page covers operation, component construction, glazing and available decorative patterns. It also outlines useful enquiry details and distinguishes this inward-opening single-sash window from related windows, fixed glazing and patio doors in our range.

01

Inward opening with practical tilt ventilation

The window has one movable sash which opens into the room and can also be tilted. This lets you choose the operating position for everyday use without managing multiple sashes. Unlike fixed glazing, this model opens; unlike outward-opening windows, its sash moves into the room. Plan the surrounding sill, furniture and other items accordingly. A drawing that includes the intended furniture can make this spatial relationship clear before visible details are selected.

Because the sash opens inward, allow a suitable clear area on the room side. When planning, check whether the sill, furniture, decorations or other items could obstruct it. A clear zone directly beside the window is also helpful for the tilt position. This is not a universal room-layout rule, but a consideration for the proposed installation location. Thoughtful planning makes both functions easier to use as intended.

With one sash, operation centres on a single window element. Consider who will use it regularly and from where the handle will be reached. A worktop or deep table in front of the window may affect access even where the swing area is clear. Walk through the usual movement in the furnished room. This practical check links the window choice to everyday habits and supports a well-organised space.

02

Timber, aluminium cladding and components

Four material versions are available: pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak, and oak with aluminium cladding. You may therefore select timber alone or combine the chosen timber with aluminium cladding. Base the decision on the material character you want and its relationship to other project windows or doors. Pine and oak remain clearly defined, separate options.

The window uses Roto Frank hardware and silicone glass seals. Installation holes have a diameter of 14 mm, and the product is CE marked. Consider the hardware part of the construction, with the selected handle as an additional operating detail. This supports an orderly comparison with other windows. You can ask specifically about available handle choices while the model’s other technical characteristics remain clearly identified. A complete product decision considers both aspects.

The outer frame measures 78 × 82 mm; with aluminium cladding, it measures 90.6 × 82 mm. The sash frame has the same dimensions: 78 × 82 mm, or 90.6 × 82 mm with aluminium cladding. These component dimensions differ from the overall ordered window size. Record the selected version alongside the relevant values so it remains clear which measurements apply to timber and which to the clad option.

03

Select insulating glass for your project

Choose double or triple insulating glass. Both options include a heat-reflective coating, a warm-edge spacer (CHR) and argon gas filling. Match the number of panes to your project requirements while considering the complete window assembly. For renovations, include the extent of other work: will adjacent windows be replaced or retained? This places the glazing choice within the wider project rather than basing it on one product view alone.

The glass creates a visual connection in both directions. Alongside the outlook, consider which parts of the room may be visible from outside. A garden path close to the window creates a different setting from a distant area that cannot be accessed directly. If curtains or other room treatments are planned, allow for their space early. This connects the desired openness with how you use the room. A considered window position accounts for daylight, outlook and privacy.

For an existing opening, observe daylight across the day. A wall may be bright in the morning yet shaded later, changing how glass and frame are perceived. This helps you assess the new window in the room. A workspace may require a different outlook from a seating area. Use the actual places where people spend time rather than deciding solely from an evenly lit product image.

04

Decorative glazing-bar patterns for varied facades

The most streamlined option is a sash without decorative glazing bars. Named patterns are also available with one horizontal bar or one vertical bar. A pattern with one horizontal and one vertical bar is available for division in both directions. These options create different visual accents within the same single-sash window type, depending on whether you prefer uninterrupted glass or a more divided appearance.

For a more divided look, choose patterns with two, three or four horizontal bars combined with one vertical bar. A design with one horizontal and two vertical bars is also available. Together with the simpler choices, this provides options from an uninterrupted appearance through individual horizontal or vertical accents to division in both directions. State the preferred horizontal and vertical combination as precisely as possible when enquiring. It can then be distinguished clearly from the window size, colour and material version.

Assess glazing bars across the whole facade. Repeating a pattern can unify a row of windows, whereas a different arrangement can emphasise one position. Decide how the window should relate to the building. Line count alone makes a window neither contemporary nor traditional; the effect depends on the pattern, wall surfaces and neighbouring openings. Compare a small set in the same format so the divisions are easy to judge without other changes distracting from them.

The glazing-bar pattern also affects the view from a regular seat. Picture looking through the closed glass from a desk or dining table. A horizontal division may be more noticeable there than from the exterior facade. If an uninterrupted view to a tree or a particular garden area matters, compare an option without bars. Where a consistent facade is the priority, existing divisions in neighbouring windows may carry more weight. Consider both views to choose the effect you will experience daily.

05

Plan made-to-measure sizing and opening space

This window is made to measure. Record width and height with a clear reference, and distinguish opening dimensions from the window dimensions required. In an existing opening, retain any differences between measurement points. A labelled sketch explains these relationships better than a single sequence of figures. State the viewing direction as well. Where several windows are involved, short location names help match drawings to the correct position. This creates a clear basis for further discussion of the required version.

At the planned location, remember that the sash moves inward and can also tilt. Check the proposed surroundings in their real-use context. The depth of a sill or items permanently positioned near the window may be relevant. Do this before finalising colour, handle and decorative details, because a suitable opening style is fundamental to a practical everyday choice.

If the room is being renovated, the plan should show the completed space. New wall linings, an altered sill or extra built-in elements can affect the opening’s surroundings. Mark which components will remain and which will be added. The glass should also remain accessible for later cleaning. This adds surface access to planning for the sash area. A well-chosen location considers the window in use and as a lasting part of the room.

Made-to-measure single-sash window with colour and handle options

06

Coordinate colour, handle and material character

Colour and handle are selectable and each contributes differently to the overall impression. Frame colour defines the larger border, while the handle adds a small visible accent. Consider which should recede and which should stand out. A contrasting frame does not necessarily need a striking handle. Conversely, a deliberately contrasting detail can suit a restrained colour scheme. This balance gives the window a coherent appearance and connects larger surfaces with details seen regularly.

Timber finishes in the room can provide a reference for the material effect. If flooring, doors and furniture already show different timber tones, choose one clear focus for the window. It need not relate separately to every item. Connecting it to a permanent building element can be more convincing than following changeable furniture. View the preferred version from inside and check the exterior at the same time. The window is experienced against two different backgrounds and should be chosen consciously for both.

Glazing bars change how much frame colour is visible within the glass area. With stronger division, the selected colour appears in more places. Always compare a colour idea on the preferred pattern, not only on an uninterrupted example. Where railings, joints or planting already create many exterior lines, a simpler design may feel calmer. Against a largely unbroken surface, a clearer grid may instead create an intentional rhythm. The relationship between window and surroundings is decisive.

Two separate views help when selecting colour: the individual opening within the room and the row of windows across the building. Indoors, wall colour and furniture may guide the tone; outside, render, cladding and neighbouring frames can matter. Compare a preferred colour with the relevant surfaces in daylight where possible. A dark reveal makes a frame appear different from a light wall in direct sun. For a single replacement window, also decide whether it should blend in quietly or deliberately mark a change to the room. Both can be achieved through a considered selection.

07

Compare related windows and doors appropriately

If no opening function is required, a fixed-glazed window may be an alternative. It is also available in pine or oak, each with the option of aluminium cladding, and with double or triple insulating glass. A round fixed-glazed window is available in pine or oak. A combination window is another distinct product type, likewise offered in pine, oak and their aluminium-clad versions, with two or three panes. Begin by deciding whether you need this inward-opening, tilting single-sash window, non-opening glazing or a combination window.

Two separate window models are available where an EI30 classification is required. The inward-opening version has a tilt-and-turn sash, is made from oak, and uses Roto Frank hardware with double insulating glass. The outward-opening EI30 model is also oak, but uses Spilka hardware and double insulating glass. There is also an outward-opening passive-house window called Super Low Uw. It is pine with a special insulating material and triple insulating glass. Classification, material, glazing and opening direction therefore belong to their respective models; this single-sash window is a separate choice.

Where the element is intended as access to a terrace, single-sash outward-opening patio doors are the more suitable product category. Choose either a regular version in pine or oak, both also available with aluminium cladding, or a historic-style version in pine or oak. Both door models offer double or triple insulating glass and may include a panel, depending on the version. They differ from this window both as doors and through their outward opening. Start with the intended purpose, then select material, glazing and design within the appropriate category.

08

Prepare a clear, complete window enquiry

For a specific enquiry, provide a clear summary of the version required. For every window position, state the project dimensions, pine or oak, and whether you want timber only or the corresponding aluminium-clad version. Add your preferred double or triple insulating glass, named glazing-bar pattern, colour and handle. Give each position an unambiguous label where several windows are involved. A table or position-by-position list can separate different sizes and configurations neatly. This lets us see which features belong together and where each window is intended to be installed.

If you have not made a final decision, send us your two preferred options and the key difference between them. You may want the new window to sit quietly within an existing room, or to deliberately change its appearance. A short description of that aim helps us discuss suitable available versions with you. You do not need to document every design route in detail. We answer product-related questions and help you compare options. This window has our five-year commercial warranty for windows and doors, which is separate from any non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep the final selection with your order documents.
