Kombi Heritage Casement Window — Outward Opening

Bloomcabin This heritage-style Kombi arrangement places an unbarred fixed light beside a sash hinged at the side and opening to the exterior. The stationary glazing stays plain; 2 crosswise bars and 1 upright bar give the moving section its traditional pattern.

How the composition works

1. Horizontal rhythm on the moving sash

Leaving the stationary light undivided keeps that side visually spacious. On the operable side, 2 crosswise bars intersect 1 upright bar to form a balanced grid led by horizontal lines.

2. Stillness beside movement

The stationary portion remains in place, while the neighbouring sash is hinged along its side and swings outward. Function and pattern both create contrast: uninterrupted glass on the fixed side and decorative divisions on the opening side.

3. Efficiency with indoor comfort in mind

As part of the building envelope, this window solution supports energy efficiency and a comfortable indoor setting.

Consider this version when a heritage-influenced façade calls for a quiet pane beside a patterned opening light. The fixed portion stays completely bar-free. On the sash, 2 horizontal lines establish the main rhythm and 1 vertical line finishes the division. Open glass on the fixed side keeps the stronger grid on the sash side from feeling heavy, leaving the full composition orderly and classically proportioned.
