Heritage-Style “Kombi” Outward-Opening Casement Window

Bloomcabin 1 fixed pane with 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar is paired with 1 sash carrying 2 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar. Here, the traditional side-hinged Kombi format swings outwards. Its stepped pattern gives the elevation an individual yet orderly rhythm with a clear period influence.

What distinguishes this Bloomcabin design?

1. A stepped pattern

The fixed pane carries 1 crosswise and 1 upright glazing bar. On the sash, 2 horizontal bars and 1 vertical bar introduce a more detailed division.

2. Contrasting divisions

The stationary area provides a steady visual anchor. Beside it, the side-hinged sash moves towards the exterior, with its extra crosswise bar adding a noticeable accent.

3. Comfort-conscious construction

The arrangement helps create indoor comfort and supports an energy-conscious treatment of the building envelope.

Created for projects seeking a divided fixed pane and a more strongly segmented outward-swinging sash, this traditional Kombi arrangement keeps the two patterns visibly related. The sash contains 2 horizontal glazing bars and 1 vertical bar; the fixed pane contains 1 horizontal and 1 vertical bar. Their difference introduces a livelier visual rhythm without undermining clarity. Both grids remain recognisable as elements of one considered design, balancing a distinctive historical expression with an operable sash.
