Historic-Style Two-Sash Outward-Opening Casement Window

Bloomcabin With 2 outward-opening, side-hung sashes, this Bloomcabin heritage design repeats 1 horizontal glazing bar and 3 vertical bars on each leaf. The closely divided panes create a confident, ordered frontage whose character remains distinctly traditional.

Reasons to choose this Bloomcabin layout

1. Finely worked glazing pattern

Three vertical bars articulate every sash, with 1 horizontal member tying their rhythm together. This combination produces an unusually fine and carefully controlled division.

2. A balanced pair

Side hinges let both matching sashes swing outwards. Because each side repeats the bar sequence, the composition stays symmetrical and reads as a single, orderly window.

3. Thermal comfort considered

Efficient construction helps maintain a comfortable interior, allowing the window’s period expression to sit naturally within the expectations of modern living.

This layout belongs naturally on historic buildings, conventionally styled houses and sensitive renovation schemes. Strong vertical subdivision helps reinforce a classical façade composition. With 2 sashes, each bearing 1 horizontal and 3 vertical glazing bars, the arrangement remains well proportioned. Compare its bar rhythm with the architecture, then consider how the paired sashes should shape the exterior’s final character.
