Bloomcabin No Glazing Bars. This fixed window without glazing bars combines a generous, uninterrupted glass view with the functional clarity of a window that does not open. It suits architecture that deliberately frames daylight and favours a calm, pared-back appearance.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

  1. Clear, bar-free view

Without glazing bars, the glass surface appears clear and spacious. The restrained design places daylight, views and architectural lines at the centre.

  2. Fixed glazing

As a fixed window, this model does not open. It creates a permanent source of daylight and supports clear, practical window planning.

  3. High energy efficiency

The fixed design supports energy-efficient building planning and can contribute to a comfortable indoor atmosphere and consistent comfort at home.

This non-opening fixed window suits spaces where daylight, views and a calm façade take priority. It complements modern architecture and sensitively planned renovations, while fitting easily into varied window schemes. The design remains deliberately understated. The model works well in bright interiors. Its appearance is pleasantly calm. The uninterrupted glazed area provides a clear visual accent. It also looks balanced as part of a group of windows.

Configuration

Made to measure with colour choice

Our fixed window is designed for projects requiring a permanently closed glazed surface with no opening function. The focus is therefore on fitting the dimensions and design into the intended opening and coordinating it with adjacent building elements. You specify the dimensions for your project and select the material finish, colour, glazing and design. Each element then has a clearly defined role, without attributing an operating or ventilation function to the fixed glazing.

Choose pine or oak, with aluminium cladding available for both timber types. The named designs include options without glazing bars, single horizontal or vertical lines, expressly glass-dividing variants and a combined arrangement. We guide you through function, technical details, design and preparing your enquiry. This lets you make choices in a sensible order and state the required version clearly.

01

Function and everyday use

This product is a fixed glazed window and cannot be opened. It cannot be swung, tilted or turned. In everyday use, the glazing remains closed and does not create an operable opening. Decide at the outset whether the element is intended solely as fixed glazing. If your project needs regular ventilation or an accessible passage at this location, that function must be assigned to a suitable opening window or door.

In a design with several window elements, fixed glazing can fulfil its own role while a separately selected product type provides the required opening function. List these functions separately on your drawing: identify fixed glazed elements as permanently closed and opening elements by their respective product title. This makes allocation easier where different windows are planned in one elevation. Visual proximity does not mean that elements are structurally identical or have the same operation.

Plan future access to the glass, frame and sealing surfaces according to the actual installation situation. Consider both sides of the closed element and its position within the opening. Before choosing, also check whether permanently closed glazing suits the intended use. Make this functional decision before selecting material, colour and glazing-bar design, because styling cannot replace a needed opening function. Keep any required opening elements separate from the fixed glazing in your plan.

02

Construction, component dimensions and technical details

The dimensional and numerical product specifications are gathered here. The outer frame measures 105 × 57 mm. In a version with aluminium cladding, the outer frame measures 115 × 57 mm. These figures describe the relevant outer-frame component. They are not the width and height of the complete window or the dimensions of the structural opening. Installation holes are specified as 14 mm. For planning, therefore, list product size, opening size, junction and outer-frame profile as separate details.

Double or triple insulating glazing is available. Both are described with a heat-reflective coating, a CHR warm-edge spacer and argon filling. The glass seals are black rubber. The window is CE marked and comes with a 5-year guarantee. These details describe the offered product construction; the existing wall, connections and other building conditions must also be assessed for the individual project. State the selected glazing clearly in your enquiry so that the required version can be identified.

Available materials are pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding. “With aluminium cladding” means a version of the respective timber material, not a window made entirely of aluminium. Made-to-measure manufacture is one of the available purchase choices, while the stated profile and drilling dimensions remain component specifications. In your enquiry, therefore, separate the desired overall size from the construction details. This makes clear which dimension is set by your project and which measurements describe individual window components.

Fixed window with glazing-bar design

03

Choosing the right glazing

When configuring the window, clearly select one of the available insulating glazing options and list it as a separate choice. A general description such as “insulating glass” does not distinguish the variants. Use the full name of the required version instead. If your project includes several elements, note the glazing choice separately for each. This keeps the selected option for every window traceable, even within a mixed arrangement.

Assess the glazing choice separately from material, colour and glazing-bar design. Glazing describes the glass construction, while the other details define different parts of the configuration. Do not automatically transfer a selection from an adjacent window to this fixed glazing; state it expressly. When comparing several quotations, ensure that the same selected glazing type is compared in each case. This avoids comparing different configurations simply because a shortened description was used.

The glass seals are made of black rubber. This detail describes only the material and colour of the seals; it does not specify a continuously visible black surround for the entire window. Keep the seal detail separate from the desired window colour. Material finish, colour choice and glazing-bar design are each independent decisions for the overall appearance. If the element’s look matters when coordinating neighbouring windows or doors, list those design wishes separately rather than deriving them from the seal colour.

04

Named designs with and without glazing bars

For a version without dividing lines, choose “Without glazing bars”. For a single direction, “With 1 horizontal glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glazing bar” are available. There is also “With 1 horizontal glazing bar in the lower section”. Use these names exactly, as the last design expressly includes a particular position in its name. Do not add your own position or proportion details to the design names. If you combine several windows, assign each element its full design name so neighbouring glazing-bar patterns are not accidentally grouped together.

The expressly glass-dividing designs include “With 1 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bar” and “With 1 vertical glass-dividing glazing bar”. More subdivided versions are named “With 2 horizontal glass-dividing glazing bars” and “With 2 vertical glass-dividing glazing bars”. The term “glass-dividing” is an essential part of the respective design name. If this type of division is part of your choice, include the full name in your enquiry. A shortened description such as “with two glazing bars” identifies neither the direction nor the expressly named type of division.

A combined arrangement is available as “With 1 horizontal and 1 vertical glazing bar”. Select this version when both directions are to form part of the named glazing-bar design. The decision is best made in two steps: first decide whether you want a design without glazing bars, in one direction or in both directions. Then check whether the name should expressly be glass-dividing. Available design names are fixed choices, not a basis for freely assembled variants or self-defined intersection points.

05

Recording dimensions and installation conditions clearly

Start with the actual structural opening rather than an estimated window size. Record the situation at several suitable points and note what each value refers to. In particular, distinguish between opening dimensions and the desired product dimensions. Since the window can be made to measure, an unambiguous dimensional basis is essential for the enquiry. Do not treat the outer-frame figures in the technical details as a finished external size. Use the same terms in your drawing, measurement list and accompanying text, so different reference points are not merged under a general term such as “window size”.

Also record where the fixed glazed element is intended within your project. Where several windows or doors form one elevation, give them clear identifiers and assign every measurement to the correct element. Note any desired relationships with adjacent building elements, such as which top or side lines should align in the design. These details describe your design intention and should be listed separately from product dimensions. A simple sketch clearly marked top, bottom, left and right helps us understand location and orientation without ambiguity.

Include the planned junction and existing construction when assessing the opening. Check whether the recorded dimensions suit the intended window position, and have the installation situation assessed for the project. When several elements work together, record each product separately first, then transfer the clearly identified dimensions into an overall elevation. This keeps opening size, product size and design reference lines distinct. Before enquiring, also check that all dimensions use the same orientation and that changes on a sketch are reflected in the corresponding measurement list.

06

Material, colour and design coordination

For the material finish, choose pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding. First decide between pine and oak, then whether the selected timber type should have aluminium cladding. This sequence prevents the cladding from being mistakenly stated as a separate solid material. If other windows or doors belong to the project, give the complete material finish for each element. Matching colour wishes do not replace a clear statement of timber type and cladding.

Colour choice is a separate purchase decision and should be considered alongside the material finish and glazing-bar design, while being stated separately. A version without glazing bars and a variant with horizontal, vertical or combined lines already differ through their respective design names. Therefore, do not select only a colour for the overall elevation; assign the required glazing-bar design clearly too. If you are adding to an existing group of windows, note which features should match. Do not rely solely on a reference image; explicitly state the selected colour and material finish in the enquiry.

For several elements, a simple overview helps, with each position labelled by product title, material finish, colour and glazing-bar design. Plan fixed glazing without assuming an opening direction. For its place within a shared elevation, the selected design features and the reference lines you define are decisive instead. Check whether repeated glazing-bar patterns are actually described using the same complete design name. If individual elements are intentionally different, mark those differences directly at the relevant position so they are not read as unintended inconsistency.

07

Related fixed and opening products

If you are looking for another fixed-glazing shape group for your project, consider the “Fixed semi-circular window” and the “Fixed triangular and sloping window” as separate alternatives. Both are fixed glazed and non-opening according to their product titles. Nevertheless, compare them as separate products and use the exact title for each in your enquiry. Belonging to the fixed-glazing range does not mean that every other feature automatically matches this window.

For projects requiring an opening function, separately named window types are available for guidance, including outward-opening pivot, top-hung and casement windows. Choose between these products according to the required function and treat each as an individual configuration. Fixed glazing can be planned beside an opening window within one project, but it does not thereby gain an operating function. In such a combination, record every element with its full product title, position and its own selection details.

Single outward-opening patio doors and products in a historical style are also listed as related product types. They may be suitable where a door function or an expressly named style variant is wanted instead of an exclusively fixed glazed surface. For an enquiry containing several product types, give every element its own title, position and required configuration. This keeps windows and doors functionally distinct, even within one shared elevation. Find the related products here for further guidance:

Fixed semi-circular window, Fixed triangular and sloping window, Outward-opening pivot window, Outward-opening top-hung window, Single outward-opening casement window, Single outward-opening historic-style casement window, Single outward-opening patio door, Single outward-opening historic-style patio door.

08

Prepare your enquiry fully and clearly

Start with a brief description of your project and identify the required element clearly as a “fixed window”. Add a labelled sketch where helpful, showing the element’s position and orientation. Enter the required dimension and state directly what it refers to. Use the same identifier for the element in the sketch, measurement list and text. If several windows or doors are planned, list every product separately first and only then combine the individual positions in an overall elevation.

Then choose pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding and add the required colour. Next, state the selected insulating glazing as a separate item. For the glazing-bar design, use the complete design name, especially where it expressly includes “glass-dividing”. With several elements, check every position individually rather than silently applying one shared selection to all windows. This makes clear which combination of material, cladding, colour, glazing and design is intended for each fixed glazed window.

Finally, check your selection in a set order: is the product title correct? Are position, orientation and dimensional reference clear? Is the complete material finish given? Are colour, glazing and glazing-bar design each clearly assigned? Are other windows or doors listed as independent products? Ensure that the sketch and text use the same element names. Then send us the organised enquiry. We can allocate your choices specifically to the fixed window and clarify with you whether the configuration is fully described.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about fixed windows

Can the window be ordered made to measure?

Yes. Dimensions can be set to suit the intended project. In your enquiry, clearly state what each dimension refers to and describe the installation situation. Outer-frame dimensions are component dimensions and must not be equated with the size of the intended opening.

Which glazing options are available?

You can choose double or triple insulating glazing. Both versions have a heat-reflective coating, a CHR warm-edge spacer and argon filling. State the required glazing separately for each window element.

Which material finishes are available?

Choose pine, pine with aluminium cladding, oak or oak with aluminium cladding. State the complete version in your enquiry so the timber type and cladding can be allocated clearly.

Can I choose the window colour?

Yes. The colour can be selected during configuration. Give your preferred colour together with the complete material finish. The black rubber seals are independent of this and do not replace the separate window colour choice.

Are all available glazing bars glass-dividing?

No. The names expressly distinguish between glazing bars and glass-dividing glazing bars. If you want a glass-dividing design, use the full name of the relevant version in your enquiry.

Is the window CE marked?

Yes. The window is CE marked. However, assess the opening, planned connections and building requirements specifically for your project.

Can the fixed glazing be used for ventilation or as an exit?

No. Fixed glazing cannot be opened for ventilation or used as an operable exit.

How do I choose a suitable glazing-bar pattern?

Available patterns range from a version without glazing bars to horizontal, vertical and combined glazing-bar designs. First choose whether you want no division, emphasis in one direction or several dividing lines. Then check whether the selected name expressly includes “glass-dividing”.
