A classic pétanque set for outdoor play

Meet this pétanque set, which brings together the main pieces for a game outdoors: six chrome-plated metal balls, a wooden target ball, a measuring cord and a carry bag. The metal balls are 73 mm in diameter and blue and black. To play, throw the small target ball, then take turns aiming your metal balls as close to it as possible. The measuring cord can help compare the distance when balls are close.

What’s included and what to know

1. Six metal balls: The set includes six chrome-plated metal balls, each 73 mm in diameter. Their colour is listed as blue and black.
2. Wooden target ball: A wooden target ball gives players the point to aim towards during a game.
3. Measuring cord: Use the included cord to compare the distance between the balls and the target when deciding which is closer.
4. Carry bag: The set comes with a bag for keeping its components together between games and carrying them to another spot.
5. For playing together: With six balls, the set can be used for a game between two players or teams. Take turns throwing, then compare the balls’ positions around the target.
