Garden Tools

Dutch Hoe

A hand tool for weeding and soil care. The Dutch hoe is designed for weeding and loosening the soil surface in garden beds and between rows. It works with a pulling movement. The hoe measures 140 cm long and 16 cm wide, with a listed depth of 8–10 cm. Its stated materials are steel and wood.

What to consider

1. Work between plants: The 16 cm width gives you a defined measurement to consider when working between rows or guiding the hoe around plants.
2. A pulling movement: The hoe is intended to be drawn through the soil. This makes it suitable for targeted weeding and loosening the surface rather than digging over a whole bed.
3. For beds, greenhouses and edges: Use it for weeding in garden beds, in a greenhouse or along garden edges, where you can guide the tool through the surface soil.
4. For taller weeds too: The hoe can also be used to cut down taller weeds in beds and at the edges of the garden when more targeted work is needed.
5. Steel and wood: Steel and wood are the stated materials. The product dimensions are 140 cm long, 16 cm wide and 8–10 cm deep.
