Double-leaf historic-style casement window, opening outwards

Bloomcabin 2 sashes with 1 horizontal glazing bar. This historic side-hung window combines two outward-opening sashes with a subtle horizontal division. The single glazing bar brings clear structure to the traditional double-sash appearance while retaining its calm, balanced character.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

1. Historic crosswise detail

One horizontal glazing bar gives the glass a restrained crosswise detail. Together with the two sashes, it creates a balanced historic window view with clean, considered lines.

2. Traditionally outward opening

The side-hung sashes open outwards, a feature of classic construction. This preserves the historic look while providing a practical opening that needs no swing space inside.

3. High energy efficiency

Energy-efficient features complement the historic character with contemporary comfort. They help create a comfortable atmosphere and support mindful energy use throughout the year.

This historic side-hung window, with two outward-opening sashes, suits renovations and new-build projects seeking a traditional look with one horizontal glazing bar. The bar divides the glazed area across its width, while the historic form remains easy to recognise. Both sashes open outwards, leaving the interior clear. The design gives the elevation a measured rhythm, and its division feels understated and classic. Choose a configuration that complements your building project, desired proportions and architectural style.
