Historic “Kombi” outward-opening casement window

Bloomcabin 1 fixed pane without glazing bars, 1 casement with 1 horizontal glazing bar and 2 vertical glazing bars. This historic, side-hung combination window opens outwards, pairing 1 unbarred fixed pane with 1 carefully divided casement. The understated fixed section makes the casement’s distinctive grid a particularly effective focal point.

Why choose this Bloomcabin design?

1. Distinctive casement division

The fixed pane without glazing bars feels open and calm. One horizontal and two vertical glazing bars shape the casement into a distinctive, clearly recognisable grid.

2. Open and divided

The uninterrupted glazing in the fixed section provides a quiet counterpoint. The side-hung casement opens outwards and carries the complete glazing-bar pattern of this design.

3. High energy efficiency

This window supports a comfortable interior atmosphere and an energy-efficient building envelope.

This historic combination window suits façades where an unbarred fixed pane is paired with a clearly divided, outward-opening casement. The contrast draws attention to the moving section while keeping the overall composition balanced. The fixed pane remains completely free of glazing bars. Two vertical bars define the casement, and one horizontal bar completes its grid. This makes the two sections easy to distinguish and strengthens the window’s traditional architectural character.
