Lettuce is a leafy vegetable rich in vitamins A and K, with anti-inflammatory properties. Consuming lettuce can also help lower cholesterol, reduce anxiety, and provide powerful antioxidants. Growing lettuce in your smart garden is a truly healthy choice!
Plant information:
- Edible plant
- Germination time: 7–14 days
- Harvest: after 5–6 weeks
- Optimal temperature: 18°C – 24°C
Lettuce grows best between 18 and 22°C. Higher temperatures can delay germination and trigger flowering, leading to a bitter taste. Growth may seem slow at first after sprouting, but it will soon pick up. No thinning required – just let them grow!
For best results, use a lamp with proper height. Too low – plants may burn. Too high – they may stretch and yield less.
We recommend harvesting the entire capsule after about five weeks, but you can start picking the largest outer leaves after just three weeks. Continue harvesting until maximum growth – around week five or six.
