How many size options are available for Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses?
Bloomcabin is rapidly expanding its range, which already includes more than 20 products. Greenhouse sizes depend on the model.
For the Classic Premium greenhouse we offer the broadest available area selection, from 3.77 to 18.84 m² with a height of 232 or 252 cm.
For gardeners and outdoor-space enthusiasts, the large Bloomcabin Orangery is an outstanding option, with a remarkable 70 m² area and distinctive form.
If you want an especially compact aluminium greenhouse solution for a balcony or terrace, we recommend the Mini model with an area of 0.74, 1.07 or 1.4 m² .
Where the intended location allows a medium-sized greenhouse, the lean-to greenhouse model is an excellent choice. It sits elegantly against the wall of a larger building while providing generous space for your hobby.
To see the available sizes for each aluminium greenhouse model in more detail, visit the relevant product and look for the corresponding section in the product configurator on the right-hand side of the page.
Which glazing options are available for Bloomcabin greenhouses?
Available glazing options may vary by aluminium greenhouse model. For the standard greenhouse with a classic design, we offer:
- Polycarbonate – a popular, budget-friendly, lightweight and highly durable material with excellent impact resistance. It is an ideal choice for structures exposed to changing weather.
- 4 mm toughened safety glass – exceptionally strong, durable and clear. It allows plants to receive what they need for effective photosynthesis and healthy growth, which can support higher yields.
- 4 mm toughened self-cleaning “Bioclean” glass – rainwater and dirt are repelled, while a special coating improves clarity in wet weather. The glass stays clean for longer, with fewer water marks and deposits.
- 4 mm toughened mirrored glass – improves light diffusion and temperature control inside the greenhouse. It reflects sunlight and reduces solar heat, making it an excellent choice if you want to adapt the aluminium greenhouse as a relaxation area.
- 4 mm toughened solar-control glass – specially coated, reflective “Stopsol” glass that effectively shields the space from sunlight and its heat. It also adds privacy, but may be less suitable for growing plants.
- 4 mm toughened white frosted glass – an attractive way to diffuse light evenly and protect plants from direct sunshine. Frosted glass looks elegant and provides privacy, making it well suited to combining growing with a relaxation area.
A distinctive configuration option lets you combine different glazing solutions for the greenhouse roof and the sides.

How long is the warranty for Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses?
Bloomcabin takes pride in the high quality of its products and provides all aluminium greenhouses with a 12-year manufacturer guarantee, with its terms supplied when your order is delivered.
The guarantee period and terms are the same for all Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouse models. They specify the storage, assembly and operating conditions that must be followed for the guarantee certificate to remain valid.
If you are considering changes to the greenhouse structure or appearance, please contact our customer service team first. They can explain how changes may affect both the structure itself and compliance with the guarantee certificate terms.
You can review the basic guarantee terms here .
Can greenhouse glass withstand impacts from large hailstones?
As standard, our greenhouses are fitted with 4 mm toughened safety glass that is particularly impact-resistant. The glass is made by intensive heating followed by rapid cooling, creating internal stresses that make it up to 7 times more resistant to impacts from hail and other small objects.
Because hailstones vary unpredictably in size and intensity, the guarantee terms do not cover damage caused by this type of natural event.
For added peace of mind, Bloomcabin recommends considering greenhouse insurance through a suitable insurance provider.
What is Accoya® wood, as used in Bloomcabin limited-edition Design Series greenhouses?
Accoya® wood is known for exceptional strength and durability. It is made from Radiata Pine sourced from sustainably managed forests and treated through a patented, non-toxic process that modifies the timber right to its core.
This distinctive treatment makes Accoya® one of the world’s most durable woods. It is ideal for façades and outdoor structures, with a service life of at least 50 years. Accoya® is made with FSC-certified timber from sustainable sources.
Because of these outstanding properties, Bloomcabin has chosen to equip its Design Series models with Accoya® design elements. We are the first and only manufacturer of aluminium greenhouses to offer this type of design solution.
What are the production and delivery times for Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses?

What type of aluminium is used in Bloomcabin greenhouse structures?
The greenhouses are made from aluminium profiles selected for this type of construction, delivering strong structural stability and resistance to weather and other environmental influences.
Aluminium is highly corrosion-resistant, does not crack and helps maintain the greenhouse structure's stability over time.
All aluminium components are painted in the RAL shade chosen by the customer. A high-quality, professionally applied powder coating creates an excellent surface finish.
The aluminium structure is joined so that the aluminium greenhouse remains exceptionally stable and resilient for years.
What optional equipment and accessories are available for Bloomcabin greenhouses?
Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses are made to each customer's personalised specification. In the configurator on the right-hand side of every product page, you can select the options that best suit your project.
Any extra cost is shown for each design solution, accessory or additional element. Click the “?” symbol to view an explanation of the relevant option.
Available equipment, sizes and other categories may vary by greenhouse model according to what is technically possible for that model.
Options include greenhouse size and height, roof and side-wall glazing, decorative glazing bars, a choice of 36 RAL colours, greenhouse door solutions, including extra doors on other sides of the greenhouse with or without a lock, decorative roof features, a choice of roof-window mechanism, a roof window with a manual opener as standard, fabric curtains and an integrated chimney connection. Greenhouse installation availability, location, price and timing can be confirmed on request.
Are Bloomcabin greenhouses suitable for areas with heavy snowfall?
Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses have undergone weight-load testing, which established that the maximum permissible load caused by snow is 2.3 kN/m² .
Although the greenhouse structure and 4 mm toughened-glass panes can withstand this stated load, Bloomcabin recommends that owners clear the greenhouse of snow regularly to help prevent any damage or deformation of the structure.
Long-term accumulations of snow and ice can also affect the appearance of polycarbonate and glass.
Are Bloomcabin greenhouses suitable for windy areas?
Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses have undergone relevant testing, which established a maximum permissible wind load on the structure of 21 m/s. Where wind speeds exceed this value, Bloomcabin recommends placing the greenhouse in a sheltered position or choosing a lean-to aluminium greenhouse model.
Is the greenhouse delivered fully dismantled or partly assembled?
To support safe delivery and help prevent damage to structures and components, all Bloomcabin greenhouses are supplied dismantled. Compact, thoughtfully designed packaging helps keep transport costs lower and makes unloading your order at the delivery address easier.
The package includes all required documentation, and assembly instructions can be downloaded from the online assembly manual . Required tools are not included.
If you need further information about greenhouse installation, please contact our customer service team.
Must greenhouse installation be carried out only by certified specialists?
The design of Bloomcabin greenhouses is carefully designed in every detail so installation is not restricted to professional, experienced fitters. However, to avoid errors that might affect the appearance or structural quality of the greenhouse , we recommend entrusting assembly to experienced installers. Their knowledge of the assembly requirements and access to the necessary tools can save you time and effort, while making the process of creating your dream greenhouse more enjoyable.
It is important to follow every step in the instructions precisely, as this may affect compliance with the terms of the guarantee certificate.
Does Bloomcabin offer greenhouse installation services in Malta?
Installation in Malta depends on your location, the product, price and preferred timing. Contact us with your project details so we can check availability and provide information for your greenhouse assembly enquiry.
Where installation is available, ask about professional assembly of your greenhouse and confirm the scope, cost and schedule in advance. This may save you time and effort.
Does an aluminium greenhouse need planning permission in Malta?
Planning requirements for freestanding garden greenhouses in Malta depend on the proposal, site and applicable Planning Authority classification. Conditional permission under the Development Notification Order applies only to specified classes and restrictions.
Ask a perit to review footprint, height, enclosure, foundations, land designation and permit conditions. Scheduled or conservation-sensitive property, ODZ land, environmental requirements, rubble walls, archaeology and trees may affect the assessment.
Before adding a greenhouse or an adjoining veranda, seek project-specific advice from the Planning Authority and a perit. Other approvals and third-party consent may still be required.
Do greenhouse structures need additional treatment or painting before installation?
All aluminium components of the greenhouse are delivered ready for assembly. The aluminium profiles are painted at the Bloomcabin factory, so no additional treatment is needed.
During unpacking, avoid scratching any greenhouse parts, as this could damage the paint and the appearance of the aluminium. The coating protects the components from outdoor conditions during continued use of the greenhouse.
Does the greenhouse installation site need to be prepared in advance?
Before starting assembly, make sure the chosen site has sufficient clear space for the full dimensions of the planned greenhouse . The supporting base must be firm, stable and level throughout, so the structure does not tilt, bend, sag or develop other forms of deformation after installation.
Bloomcabin recommends preparing a paved base for dependable support as weather and ground conditions change. It can also limit problems caused by rainwater washing soil away, soil settlement, or movement as wet and dry periods alternate.
Do Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouse models with a masonry base include bricks or another foundation solution?
Bricks needed to build the masonry foundation, together with any other foundation materials you may prefer, are not supplied with the greenhouse .
The foundation must be designed and built professionally because the full greenhouse frame is installed on it. Its accuracy and stability affect the finished greenhouse's appearance as well as its proper operation, structural condition and long-term durability.
If you are considering a greenhouse model with a masonry base, discuss the foundation method and ground conditions before ordering. Ask a perit to check its Planning Authority classification, permit conditions and site restrictions.
How is the aluminium greenhouse packaged for delivery?
Every Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouse is delivered in a particularly compact and sturdy wooden crate.
Every component is individually protected, then placed carefully into a made-to-fit crate secured on a pallet, making vehicle loading and unloading easier.
Approximate package dimensions are 1 m high, 2.4 m long and 1 m deep.
Important: the package carries several handling notices that must be observed. One notice, for example, warns against placing or stacking any other objects on top.
The crate may be transported horizontally or vertically, depending on the options available to the particular carrier serving your area in Malta.
How much does delivery of Bloomcabin greenhouses cost?

How should the foundation be prepared for greenhouse installation?
To ensure correct and safe installation of the greenhouse , prepare a level, stable foundation suited to the site. In Malta, pay particular attention to drainage, ground conditions and materials so that water cannot collect beneath the structure and cause movement or instability. Before work begins, ask a perit to assess the proposed greenhouse and foundation against the site, footprint, height, degree of enclosure, land designation and any conditions attached to the existing permit.
A concrete foundation or a ready-made base frame is recommended for lasting stability and safe installation.
A concrete base is among the most durable options. The recommended concrete layer is 10–15 cm thick, with a perimeter edge up to 20 cm thick for added stability. Reinforce the concrete with wire or metal mesh to help prevent cracking and support long-term durability. Before pouring, lay and compact at least 10 cm of gravel or crushed stone, then level it carefully. Pour the concrete onto the prepared sub-base, checking that it is level and horizontal. Provide drainage to prevent water building up beneath the foundation. Concrete blocks or foundation brackets can also be used to strengthen the base. Obtain site-specific structural advice where ground conditions, wind exposure or the proposed structure require it.
A paved base is more flexible and suitable for smaller greenhouses . The recommended paving layer is 5–7 cm thick and should be laid over a compacted 10–15 cm layer of gravel or crushed stone. Before laying the paving, install geotextile to limit weed growth and prevent the materials from mixing. A paved base offers good drainage and is easy to install, but may be less stable for larger structures.
A timber deck can serve as a base for the greenhouse , but it must be stable and durable. Treat the timber beams against moisture and insects. Build the deck frame from sturdy beams, for example 5×10 cm, placed on a sound foundation or concrete blocks. Deck boards should be suitable for outdoor construction, protected against moisture and fitted with small gaps for water run-off and air circulation. Keep the deck clear of direct ground contact by using foundation blocks or levelling pads to help prevent timber decay. Check that the deck is completely level with a spirit level, as unevenness can affect the operation of the greenhouse doors and the structure’s stability.
A gravel base is a straightforward, economical choice. The recommended gravel layer is 10–15 cm thick and should be laid on well-compacted ground. Place geotextile before adding gravel to limit weed growth and prevent the materials from mixing. A gravel base provides good drainage and is simple to install, but may be less stable for larger structures.
Recommendations for every foundation type:
Level the ground: before installing the foundation, make sure the surface is even, firm and stable.
Provide drainage: the foundation needs effective run-off to prevent water collecting beneath the greenhouse .
Choose suitable materials: select materials appropriate to the size of your aluminium greenhouse and its intended load.
Consider local conditions: assess drainage, soil, exposure and seasonal weather when choosing foundation materials and depth. For Maltese sites, seek project-specific advice rather than assuming a standard foundation is suitable.
Inspect the foundation regularly: check its condition and carry out any necessary repairs to maintain the stability and safety of the greenhouse .

Why are Bloomcabin aluminium greenhouses available at such affordable prices?
At Bloomcabin , we combine experience with advanced technology . This combination helps optimise every production stage, save time and reduce the resources needed for manufacturing. We manufacture our full product range ourselves, and quality remains our priority. Our aluminium greenhouses are produced under the guidance of professional engineers, who find the best solution for every technical and aesthetic detail. This allows us to offer lower product prices while maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers.
How should an aluminium greenhouse be cared for and maintained?
Inspect the visual and technical condition of the greenhouse regularly, so you can spot and remove defects, moss, leaves or other debris from gutters, the roof and other areas before problems develop.
Regular care and cleaning are especially important before a new growing period and again when it ends. Choose timings that suit your crops and Malta’s local conditions. The greenhouse should be cleaned thoroughly: wash the frame and glass or polycarbonate panels with warm water and a mild detergent. Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or pressure washers, as they can damage the coating and rubber seals.
Clear leaves and dirt from the gutters regularly to prevent standing water and damage. Pay particular attention after heavy rain; if freezing conditions ever occur, trapped water can expand and distort the structure.
To limit moisture build-up and mould, inspect the joints and ventilation mechanisms before and after each main growing period.
Aluminium does not rust, but dirt and deposits can accumulate over time. Clean aluminium components with a neutral detergent, then rinse with clean water. As the aluminium profiles are powder-coated, avoid aggressive chemicals that could harm the paint’s protective finish.
Check that seals around the glass and other rubber parts are not damaged, dried out or displaced. Replace them where necessary. This helps maintain the weather-tightness of the greenhouse and a stable interior temperature.
Once a year, inspect all connections and make sure screws and fixings remain securely tightened. Strong winds or temperature changes can loosen them slightly over time.
If snow ever accumulates, remove larger amounts with a soft broom or snow shovel to avoid overloading the structure. The aluminium construction is robust, but excessive weight can put stress on the glass.
Keep ventilation openings securely closed during strong winds and, if snow ever occurs, during snowfall, while allowing gentle air circulation when the greenhouse is used for winter growing.
To retain maximum light transmission, remove dust and water deposits from the glass, particularly on hot days.
Bloomcabin recommends neutral, environmentally considerate cleaning products that contain no acids or solvents. This protects both the structure and your plants.
Regular care, careful structural inspections and gentle cleaning help your Bloomcabin aluminiumgreenhouse retain its immaculate appearance and reliable performance for many years.
