Accoya® Wood – History and Benefits

Its source timber is Radiata pine grown in sustainably managed forests. Patented treatment reaches the core, increasing resistance to moisture, warping and damage while leaving the natural wood fibres intact.
Acetylation exchanges hydroxyl groups in the hemicelluloses for acetyl groups. Water uptake falls and stability improves, leaving timber able to preserve its form and looks over decades.
